Sometimes lunch sneaks up on me, and the fridge is looking lonely, and I have no idea what to munch on. Call in my emergency lunch staple, The Easiest Seared Tofu Ever. I cook this up in 10 minutes, throw it on some greens or cooked grains and BAM! Lunch is on. This recipe so extremely easy, I can barely even call it a recipe, but here it is, for you. - 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or Tamari
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 splash of your favorite hot sauce (optional)
Place half of the sesame oil, soy sauce, nooch and hot sauce in a shallow dish, and mix into a paste. The nooch should make the mixture quite thick. Dredge tofu in the mixture so it’s coated on both sides. If you have time, let the tofu sit in mixture for 10 – 15 minutes.
